3rd Annual Joint Meeting and Banquet of the Franklin County
Cooperative Extension Association and the Franklin County Conservation District
– Friday, January 25th, 2013 at Solomon’s
Lutheran Church, 4856 Wayne Road, Chambersburg. Tickets are $12.50 for adults,
$6.00 for children aged 5-11 (under 5 free) and are available at the Extension
Office (263-9226), or the Conservation District Office (264-5499). Reservation
deadline is Wednesday, January 16th.
Toss Your Hat in the Ring - Penn State Extension is offering
a two-hour interactive session designed to help you become involved in local
government - your borough, township, or school district - by seeking elected or
appointed office. The workshop will take place at the Franklin County
Administrative Annex in Chambersburg on Wednesday, January 23 from 7-9 pm. The

five-minute survey can be completed online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PaWater The
survey is open to Pennsylvania residents who are at least 18 years of age. It
will remain open until February 28, 2013 and a summary of results will be
published on the Pennsylvania Water Resources Research Center website in the
