Crops and Pesticides: One-Day Seminar


Penn State Extension Specialists and industry representatives will be “at your fingertips” in Franklin County on January 31st! Topics to be covered are: world ag and risk management, grain crops, improving soybean yields, manure management, making sense of nitrogen credits, forage crop weed management, pests of 2012, seed technology and pesticide education (for 2 core and 2 category credits). Speakers include John Bray and John Berry, Penn State Extension, and the following Penn State Extension Specialists: Dr. Greg Roth, Dr. Bill Curran, Dr. John Tooker and Dr. Doug Beegle.
    
This meeting is unique for Franklin County in that it offers two concurrent breakout sessions, giving each participant a choice of which session they would like to attend. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. The registration fee, which includes lunch, is $10 before the registration deadline of January 24th and is $15 after January 24th. The event is being held on January 31 at Rhodes Grove Camp & Conference Center, 7693 Browns Mill Road, Chambersburg, PA.
